As seen on TikTok, this Spinning Gonge carousel, is one of the best activities to help children gain a sense of body awareness – and it is of particular benefit for children with autism – helping to stimulate the vestibular system which can be a soothing activity.
The carousel seat is positioned at a slight angle which allows children to reach and propel themselves into a spin. The seat can also be set in motion by pushing with feet (especially in younger children)
The Gonge Carousel balance seat consists of a solid, moulded plastic seat on a steel disc mounted with a rotation joint
Designed for indoors and outdoors, the Gonge Carousel is a great source of vestibular stimulation for home, schools, or community centres.

Spinning can enhance sensory stimulation in the areas of touch, balance and feel. Decision making skills are improved as children must learn to think while in motion. The Carousel develops muscle integration and strength as the child has to grip and hold on as he/she spins. Their vestibular sense in combination with sight is stimulated and this also helps to improve balance.
The carousel also promotes social skill development such as social interaction (as children learn to take turns).
