For work in fresh, cold air, Mechanix has developed the ColdWork TM Original® glove, which keeps the hands comfortably warm with the heat-retaining C40 3M Thinsulate TM insulation. A waterproof outer SoftShell layer keeps the back of the hand dry and prevents the wind from penetrating when working in cold weather. The palm also has the proven Mechanix synthetic leather with touchscreen technology. The ColdWork TM Original® provides insulation without sacrificing freedom of movement. Details: The closure made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR) ensures a secure fit on the wrist. Heavy fleece construction. Water-repellent SoftShell back of the hand prevents cold air from entering. C40 3M Thinsulate TM Insulation stores warm air and makes it easier to regulate body temperature. Robust Armortex® thumb saddle reinforcement. Touchscreen-enabled synthetic leather offers the perfect mix of dexterity and durability. A reinforced loop has been incorporated at the wristband end of each glove to allow it to be attached to turnout gear or equipment by means of a carabiner or similar, but can also be used as a donning aid.
