Description

Prince d’Arignac XO is produced in the relatively small area of Gascony in the south-west of France. The raw material for Armagnac was the grapes of Uni Blanc, Fol Blanche and Colombard. The collected grapes are squeezed out, the resulting juice is fermented with the addition of yeast cultures. The fermented wort is distilled once, after which the distillate is placed in oak barrels where it expands for at least 6 years.

Armagnac has a soft, rounded taste with a perfect balance of fruit, spicy and woody hues. They are complemented by notes of licorice, dried fruits and thin tannins. A rich, long-lasting aftertaste has a tender sweetness. Armagnac is an excellent digestive, can be supplemented with a cigar, strong coffee, and also used as a component of cocktails. As a gastronomic combination, seafood or white meat dishes can be used.
